Methods for the Submersible Pump’s Maintenance and Servicing
I. Regularly inspect the submersible pump’s seals: Prior to each use, thoroughly examine all seals on the submersible pump, including the oil-filling screw, rubber sealing rings, and the seal chamber of oil-immersed electric pumps. Any loose components must be tightened promptly, and seals found to be compromised should be replaced immediately to ensure operational safety.
II. Regularly replace the submersible pump’s engine oil: For oil-immersed electric pumps, replace the oil in the seal chamber after 500 hours of operation. The oil in the motor chamber should also be replaced annually, using clean No. 5 or No. 10 engine oil. For wet-type electric pumps, replace the lithium-based grease every 2000 hours of operation.
III. Preventing Submersible Pump Corrosion: When not in use, submersible pumps should be thoroughly cleaned and stored in a well-ventilated, dry location. Should the pump surface sustain damage or paint loss, promptly remove rust and apply anti-rust paint for protection.
IV. Comprehensive Maintenance Submersible pumps should undergo thorough maintenance approximately every two years of operation. Components showing wear or compromised sealing performance should be repaired where feasible. Those beyond repair must be fully replaced; continued use under such conditions is inadvisable to prevent serious consequences.
